Congratulations to the native women of the Americas (all the way from Alaska and Greenland in the north to Patagonia in South America)! In Mexico one of the most famous indigenous faces is Yalitza Aparicio, a Mixtec and Triqui actress who was nominated at the 2019 Oscar Ceremony for Best Actress Award, being the first Mexican indigenous woman ever to be nominated.

Felicidades a todas las mujeres indígenas del continente americano que incluye desde Alaska y Groenlandia al norte hasta la Patagonia en América del Sur. En México, uno de los rostros indígenas más famosos es el de Yalitza Aparicio, quien fuera la primera mujer mexicana de origen indígena nominada al Óscar en 2019 como mejor actriz en la película ROMA. Los orígenes de Yalitza son mixteco y triqui principalmente radicados en el estado de Oaxaca.
