ENGLISH

In the book “The Travels of Marco Polo” there are some notes about the journey that three magi from Persia did seeking for a newborn king and took incense, gold and myrrh as gifts. This story was shared to Marco Polo by the people of Saveh when he crossed Persia through the Silk Route. Today, some people believe that the magi are buried in Saveh, others believe that one of them is buried in Urmia’s St. Mary church. However, most pilgrims around the world visit Cologne’s (Köln) Cathedral in Germany where the magi’s relics are believed to be in.

ENGLISH

Morocco’s first World Cup classification was in Mexico 1970 where the soccer team sang for the very first time in their history their National Anthem. Previous to 1970, Morocco’s National Anthem only had a musical version since it lacked lyrics. Morocco’s second time in a World Cup was in Mexico 1986 where it classified for the first time ever to the next stage of the tournament in first place of its group, defeating Portugal 3-1. This was a first for an African and Arabic team! .
